Legal Recruitment Consultant | 0403 606 183Commercial Litigation – Senior Associate / Special Counsel / Partner A unique opportunity has emerged for an experienced commercial litigator (Senior Associate, Special Counsel, or Partner level) to join a well-established Brisbane firm. This role goes beyond file work : it's about shaping strategy, driving business development, building and managing client relationships, and mentoring the next generation of litigators. You'll have the chance to develop your own practice, with a clear pathway to build and lead a dedicated litigation team, supported by a collaborative, entrepreneurial partnership. Ideal candidates will bring strong technical expertise, leadership capability, and a track record managing complex disputes, with existing practices or referral networks highly regarded.

About the Role You will work closely with a senior Partner with dual expertise in litigation and taxation, assisting in the delivery of strategic advice and advocacy across a diverse litigation caseload. The scope of the role includes :

Managing and advising on complex disputes involving contractual breaches, director and shareholder disputes, regulatory enforcement, property and leasing, insolvency, tax litigation, and employment law.Acting in matters involving multiple jurisdictions, government bodies, high-net-worth individuals, SMEs, and listed entities.Handling disputes from pre-action advice through to trial and resolution, via litigation, arbitration, mediation or negotiated outcome.Collaborating across practice groups to provide integrated legal solutions where disputes overlap with corporate, tax, or regulatory considerations.Contributing to business development initiatives and strengthening the firm's litigation profile through client engagement and strategic input.For senior candidates, the opportunity exists to grow and lead a distinct litigation team, with operational support and autonomy aligned to long-term objectives.Recent Matters Include : Advising in complex cross-border regulatory disputes involving Commonwealth enforcement agencies and international actors.Representing clients in shareholder oppression proceedings and restructuring disputes involving large private groups.Advising on breaches of IP and commercial obligations within joint venture arrangements in high-tech and communications sectors.Conducting appeals and litigation in the AAT and Federal Court in relation to tax assessments, penalties, and GST / PAYG obligations.About You The successful candidate will have :
