About the role

Reporting to the Work, Health and Safety Manager, your core responsibilities will include :

• Lead and mentor a team of 2 WHS officers;
• Review and update the risk register and mentor the leaders across the business on the risk management principles;
• Review all incident reports and work with teams to ensure appropriate incident management coupled with effective investigation practices;
• Assist with the development and review of risk assessments and SWMS, ensuring compliance with industry legislation;
• Conduct safety audits, spot audits and reviews of work sites;
• Assist with Rehabilitation and RTW (as required);

Support the broader WHS team to ensure the continual improvement of risk and hazard identification and mitigation; and

Support the development and implementation of WHS training to build the capability of front line workers coupled with the improvement of the organisation's safety culture.

About the person

Eligibility to meet the requirements of a Department of Communities and Commission for Children and Young People and Child Guardian criminal history screening; and

Current 'C' class driver's licence with regular access to vehicle.
