Electrical Engineering Technician

Salary range $77,000 to $90,000

Engineer qualifications, Bachelor Degree, or equivalent.
Minimum 1 year of work experience or on-the-job training.
Experience working in the switchboard manufacturing industry.
Team-focused approach. Be self-motivated with the ability to work towards objectives and targets.
Tasks Assist with engineering design and layout of switchboards and PLC panels to fulfill customers' technical specifications and all associated field equipment (LCS, instruments, cabling, etc.).Review and prepare electrical drawings, engineering analysis, and design work.Wire switchboards and conduct testing.Maintain records during projects, prepare BOMs, and ensure all documentation is complete to customer specifications (Supplier document register). Responsibilities Assist in preparing drawings, plans, and diagrams of electrical switchboards.Assist Electrical Engineers and Technologists in designing and laying out electrical switchgear, cabling systems, and motor control systems.Collect data, perform tests and complex calculations, graph results, and prepare charts and tables.Estimate materials costs and quantities.Inspect designs and finished products for compliance with specifications and regulations.Assemble, install, test, calibrate, modify, and repair electrical equipment and installations to meet regulations and safety standards.Undertake electrical workshop tasks such as installing assemblies for protection relays, metering, and indicating devices.Assist with research and experimentation programs.
