The Capital Strategy, Projects and Reporting Team plays a crucial role in advising on government policy and budget proposals related to infrastructure and land use planning. This team is responsible for preparing the NSW Budget Infrastructure Statement and the Electorate Service Update Report, which summarises relevant initiatives for each NSW electorate based on sector-wide consultations. We also issue public sector guidance on capital budgeting requirements and collaborate with agencies on precinct development proposals and projects.
You will play a supporting role in delivering the 2025-26 Electorate Services Update Reporting. These reports are tailored to each NSW electorate, detailing the NSW Government services available in each area, including Health, Transport, Education, and grants.
You must have strong attention to detail, the ability to meet project milestones, and the agility to adapt if project plans change and the judgement to escalate issues to your manager when necessary. Forming sound relationships within Treasury and with agency contacts is essential for producing these reports. Additionally, your role will involve analysing or supporting the analysis of policy, regulatory, financial, and economic issues facing government agencies delivering these services.
Proactively building robust relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders is paramount, as is your contribution to improving the delivery of outcomes across the NSW Government through effective communication, collaboration, and advocacy with Treasury teams and agency counterparts.
