On the frontline and face-to-face, the St Vincent de Paul Society Victoria and its wide network of over 12,000 volunteers provide practical welfare support, advocacy and friendship for the most vulnerable members of our community. Key services include Vinnies Shops; Vinnies Soup Vans; support programs for people experiencing mental illness; home visitation; youth programs; assistance for asylum seekers and refugees; education and tutoring; and a range of other volunteer-run initiatives that assist people in need.
As the Youth Engagement & Education Team Leader, you will be responsible for supervising the Education Program coordinators and building a vibrant and active youth engagement team who facilitate social justice program in the primary and secondary school sector. You will respond to the needs of young members, ensuring that quality services and support are provided as they deliver good works in the community.
As the Team Leader of the Youth Engagement and Education Programs Teams, you will be responsible for ensuring that all members of the team are provided support as they help empower the community. Your enthusiastic, motivating style will enable you to quickly build strong relationships with your team and our internal and external stakeholders. Utilising your exceptional project management skills, you will plan and develop the implementation of new initiatives and projects to promote youth and education ensuring the best support is provided to our members and volunteers.

To be eligible for this role, you will need to have a driver's license, a Working with Children Check (WWCC) and up-to-date COVID Vaccination + booster certification or exemption to the satisfaction of SVDP. A Food Safety Certificate will also be required, but we can assist you with this if you don't have it. You must also complete a national police check issued by SVDP - the organisation will cover the cost.
