Boilermaker (On-Site) (Perth)

In this role, you will play a vital part in the construction, assembly, and maintenance of boilers, pressure vessels, tanks, and other large metal structures.

In this role, your responsibilities will include casting and shaping pieces, testing complete boilers, and upgrading boilers to meet environmental standards. To succeed in this position, you must possess proficient welding skills, physical fitness, and strong reading comprehension. A top-tier boilermaker should also have the ability to identify and resolve issues, exceptional mechanical skills, and the capacity to work in tanks at various heights.

• Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Installing boilers into facilities.
• Reading blueprints for location, position, and dimensions.
• Completing maintenance documentation such as boiler logs and checklists.
• Organizing and assembling boiling parts.
• Shaping and fabricating parts.
• Cleaning pressure vessel equipment.
• Inspecting equipment for proper functioning.
• Follows all laws, regulations, and guidelines.
• Maintains a safe and clean work environment.
• Loads and unloads equipment and materials.
• Uses hand and power tools and heavy machinery.
• Follows written and verbal instructions from managers.
• Education and Work Experience
• At least three (3) years of experience as a Boilermaker.
• A high school diploma or technical and vocational education and training is required.
• Completion of an apprenticeship program is required.
• Needs a boiler operator or stationary engineer license if it is required by the state.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Works well at high heights and in confined spaces.
• Collaborates with coworkers and has strong interpersonal skills.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrates strong project management and time management skills.
• Learns quickly and has strong math, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Handles the physical demands of the job, including standing, walking, climbing, kneeling, bending, and lifting at least 50 pounds.
