About the role

Fernlea Community Care Inc is a small organisation with a big heart and impact. Located in the south-east of Melbourne, Fernlea provides centre-based day respite and home care services to people with a life-limiting illness. We also have an op shop that provides income to support our community services.

The current CEO, who has led the organisation through considerable growth and change is about to retire, so the Board is looking for someone with vision, energy and the skills to take the organisation to its next stage of development.

To become our new CEO, you will need to demonstrate :

• Success in leading an organisation, or in a senior leadership role and ready to move to the next level
• Alignment with Fernlea's values and model of care
• High levels of integrity, respect and sound judgement leading to good decisions
• Ability to attract, lead and manage a talented staff team
• Capacity to build the influence and impact of the organisation by developing and managing relationships with stakeholders
• Capability to deliver on an ambitious strategic plan
