Requirements : Mandatory qualifications and proof of registration
The Allied Health Clinical Intake Officer position can be appointed by the following allied health disciplines : Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Physiotherapy, Psychology, Social Work.Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration or membership (if applicable) with the appropriate registration authority or association.Highly desirable : As the first point of contact for the service, ability to provide clinical expertise and apply independent professional judgement in managing crisis situations and co-ordination of service provision to effectively link children and their families / carers to the appropriate services.Highly desirable : Demonstrated high level clinical skills with experience and knowledge of children with developmental concerns / disorders and the families across the developmental continuum 0 – 18 years.Possession of a C Class driver licence.Blue Card Checks : For non-AHPRA registered professions (i.e. Speech Pathology and Social Work), potential applicants are advised that the Commission for Children and Young People and Child Guardian Act 2000 requires Queensland Health to seek a 'working with children check' from the Commission for Children and Young People and Child Guardian prior to appointment to this position.This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role.Probation period may apply.Pre-employment checks will be conducted.Applications Contact : Carly Hislop on (07) 4433 9074.
