About The Role

Concord Repatriation General Hospital has a well-earned reputation for excellence in healthcare for over 70 years. Building on its proud heritage of caring for the Veteran community, the hospital now services the local communities of Concord, Strathfield, Burwood and beyond.

The role is responsible for performing clinical assessment and diagnostic vascular sonographic studies, providing accurate information for the purpose of diagnosis and medical management. In addition to undertaking vascular sonography studies, the role will oversee the management of the service, including staff rostering, training, and equipment purchasing. The position will also be a liaison between the Vascular Laboratory sonography team and hospital management.

Ideal Candidate

• Bachelor of Medical Radiation Science, Science, Applied Science, or relevant health qualification and post graduate qualification in vascular ultrasound with extensive practical examination experience.
• Current accreditation with the Australian Sonographers Accreditation Registry (ASAR).
• Evidence of strong and empowering leadership skills, motivation and advocacy with sound ability in conflict resolution and staff performance management with flexible empathic and perceptive interpersonal and staff liaison skills.
