- Underground Electricians
- at our Wambo Mine. Our Wambo mine complex is an underground mine located 30 kilometers west of Singleton that produce coal for export and domestic markets.
Your role will be to routinely inspect, repair and maintain machinery and electical equipment in line with production requirements and safe operating procedures.
- Duties will include
- Demonstrate safe behaviours and practices
- Contribute to the achievement of production targets, ensuring they are met safely and efficiently
- Perform planned and breakdown maintenance tasks on all underground equipment
- Fault-finding and repairing electrical plant and equipment
- Operate equipment as required
- Ensure all work is performed to trade standards and meets high standards
- Complete necessary documentation, planning sheets and work orders

This position is offered on a fixed roster of 12 hour shifts, 3 days per week (Day shift or Night Shift as required under the needs of the business).
- About you
- Electrical trade qualifications
- Experience working in underground mining operations (ideally 12 months +)
- High level of interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to participate in risk assessments and manage risk
- Strong commitment to safety as a way of life
- Reliable
- Experience in high voltage switching will be highly regarded
- Experience with Joy / Komatsu LW and Development equipment will be highly regarded
