About the role
Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, this role is pivotal in supporting the finance and administration function of the business. You will be responsible for a wide variety of financial and clerical duties, including :
End-to-end accounts payable and payroll processingGeneral ledger entries, reconciliations, and reportingMaintenance of accurate and timely creditor paymentsPayroll processing including superannuation, tax, awards interpretation, and reportingAssisting with month-end and year-end financial activitiesMaintaining accurate records for petty cash and fleet administrationSupporting the upkeep of the company's asset registerOnboarding of subcontractors and monitoring of insurance complianceAssisting with WHS claims and reportingGeneral office administration including staff amenities, housekeeping, and bankingActing as Finance Manager in periods of absenceAbout You
You are an experienced and organised Finance Administrator with a passion for accuracy, reliability, and service excellence. You take pride in your work and enjoy contributing to a positive team culture. You will bring :
Demonstrated experience in payroll, accounts payable, and general finance administrationProficiency in Reckon and SimPRO or similar accounting / job management softwareStrong understanding of bookkeeping principles, coding, and journal entriesExperience with interpreting modern awards and payroll complianceExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsExceptional organisational skills and attention to detailConfidence in working autonomously and resolving complex queriesHigh-level computer literacy in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)A commitment to professionalism, confidentiality, and ongoing developmentThis role is ideal for someone who enjoys a varied and fast-paced position with ownership of tasks, and who thrives in a close-knit and respectful team environment.
