About Cape York Employment Cape York Employment is a not-for-profit organisation within the Cape York Partnership group. We deliver the Australian Government's Community Development Program (CDP) in the Aurukun, Coen, and Lockhart River regions, supporting people to build meaningful careers through skill development, mentoring, and tailored employment support.
About the Role As a Job Support Officer, you'll mentor and guide jobseekers through every stage of their employment journey—from developing work-readiness skills to securing and sustaining meaningful employment.
You will :
Provide one-on-one and group-based mentoring, coaching, and support.Facilitate onboarding processes and training workshops.Help jobseekers develop personal responsibility, daily routines, and life skills.Collaborate with employers and stakeholders to place and retain participants in work.Manage documentation, case notes, and reporting requirements.Travel regularly to communities to support community-based delivery.About You We're looking for someone who is :
Experienced in CDP or employment services, especially in remote or Indigenous communities.Passionate about mentoring and coaching others to succeed.Organised, tech-savvy, and ready to juggle multiple tasks.Skilled in case management and confident working independently.A strong communicator who builds trust and motivates others.Committed to the values of respect, empowerment, and cultural safety.Qualifications and Requirements : Relevant experience in employment services, mentoring, or training delivery.Working with Children Blue Card and ability to pass a police check.Driver's licence and willingness to travel.What We Offer Salary Packaging Benefits – up to $15,900 tax-free income + $2,650 for entertainment expenses.Employee Assistance Program – free and confidential counselling services.Supportive team culture – be part of a dedicated, community-focused organisation.How to Apply Submit your Resume and Cover Letter, outlining how you meet the requirements of the role.
