The Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG) Coordination Directorate has an exciting opportunity for motivated and professional APS5 and APS6 Committee Support Officers to join in the CASG Committee Support team.
Our team is passionate and committed to providing quality, high level service delivery to support our Senior Leadership Group. Our Directorate oversees the management and coordination of fourteen complex Committees and the Executive Coordination of Ministerial and Parliamentary products to drive strategic outcomes for CASG and Defence. As a Committee Support Officer you will be required to work with Committee Chairs and members to manage Meeting calendars, Agendas, meeting papers and Facing Page Briefs. You will also be responsible for the coordination of Action Items and to produce high quality, timely Outcomes.

Our team consists of a number of APS employees providing a diversified, inclusive and a supportive team environment. Our collective experience is derived from Defence, government and non-government organisations. We are committed to providing high level service delivery to support our Senior Executives and the Enterprise. We engage with a wide range of APS and ADF personnel from various levels and disciplines across Defence. Committee Support Officers report to an EL1 Committee Support team lead. The team report to the Director, CASG Coordination within the Business Operations Branch.
These roles are a critical service delivery function to the CASG Executive. Roles are available on a full time basis and require a minimum office presence of three days per week to allow for the effective and efficient compilation of products (such as Committee packs) and engagement with the CASG Executive. This recruitment activity may generate a merit pool which will be used to fill vacancies in other Committee Support teams in Defence.
We are seeking individuals who are engaged, motivated and have a keen interest to drive strategic outcomes for CASG and Defence to support Australia's strategic outcomes.
You will be a team player with excellent verbal communication and a proven record of high level stakeholder engagement. You will have excellent written ability in order to create and quality check Executive correspondence such as outcomes, action items and facing page briefs. You will have the ability to work in a calm and considered manner whilst under pressure and managing multiple deadlines with a 'can do' attitude.
