The RoleBased in our Kewdale workshop, our Boilermaker's will perform general manufacturing including sheet metal set out, cutting, folding, welding, grinding and clean up works. The Boilermaker ensures that the manufacturing function is delivered efficiently by performing all work in accordance with the manufacturing drawings and by following all work instructions.
Key ResponsibilitiesEnsure all work is executed safely, with quality, on time and within the manhour budgets.Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with the safety, environmental and quality policies, processes and procedures.Comply with all applicable standards and regulations.Reporting hazards and near misses.Ensure all work is resourced correctly (parts, tools, and subcontractor services) and completed safely and on time per the schedule.Co-ordinate resources, schedules, and activities to manage the work cost-effectively.Promote a culture of innovation and continuous improvement to enhance manufacturing performance in terms of quality, safety and productivity.Escalate any design ambiguities or product non-conformities.Follow the non-conformance reporting (NCR) process to enhance and embed all learning opportunities to eliminate repeat quality occurrences.Support the Supervisor to ensure all design packages and manufacturing information is supplied in accordance with the manufacturing schedule and of suitable standard and accuracySupport the Supervisor to ensure the necessary technical and delivery information is communicated to meet the customer's requirements.Ensure as-built drawing mark-ups are completed.Supervising junior staff members and apprentices.Foster a workforce culture of excellence, innovation, honesty and teamworkAbout youBoilermaker trade certificate.Experience working in a manufacturing environment.Ability to understand and interpret drawings and engineering specifications.Knowledge of regulations, ISO and occupational health and safety protocols.Ability to communicate at all levels.Additional benefits includeFlexible working optionsSalary continuance insuranceRetention bonus schemeEmployee Assistance Program (EAP), accessible to all employees and their familiesEmployee referral programWe are an Equal Opportunity EmployerAt Pacific Energy, we celebrate the richness and depth that diversity brings.
