- Pursuit Leader - Investments
As a Pursuit Leader - Investments, you'll play the role of Team Lead for Major Opportunity Plans in our Investment Line of Business facilitating the pursuit of new business or maintaining existing business. This includes coaching MMC teams in developing relationships with key buying influences which can include the "C Suite" level.
We will count on you toSupport client / prospect teams in preparation for client meetings to ensure the pursuit strategy is embedded in all client interactions.Facilitate value proposition development for the purpose of testing it with the client for validation.Uses in-depth knowledge of the client's organisation, markets, industry and competitors to anticipate complex issues and identify solution.Make recommendations to Sales Leader and / or other members of leadership to pursue or decline the opportunity or pursuit and, if declined, recommend required changes to compete effectively in the future.Consult with key stakeholders to build an effective team which can meet the client or prospect objectives.Lead pursuit strategy to properly position the value proposition, thought leadership, capabilities, resources, and overall credentials to positively distinguish firm from competitors.Serve as a value proposition leader and help evaluate business issues and service responses required to meet potential clients' needs.Lead coaching sessions for meetings / orals and team with Proposal Manager to achieve consistency between the oral key themes and the written proposal.Assist in the rewriting and customisation of proposal and meeting materials to achieve readability and consistency of message and tone.What you need to have15+ years' work experience preferably in a professional services environment and ideally in client service, sales or proposal management.Advanced knowledge of Investment products and services, and an understanding of the business issues of the companies targeted.Solid pursuit and proposal management and organisational skills, including ability to adapt to changing time pressures / flexibility.Broad-based experience in marketing and / or sales / management.Mastery of key elements of the pursuit process.Expert communication and influence skills.Strong demonstrable leadership experience in large complex matrixed organisationsExpert Relationship management experience at C-Suite levelStrong boardroom gravitas (able to influence without authority)Expert sales, facilitation, training and coaching skillsAble to identify and assemble teams that reflect diverse skills and strengths from across the organisation.Skilled in conflict and change managementWhy join our teamWe help you be your best through professional development opportunities, interesting work and supportive leadersWe foster a vibrant and inclusive culture where you can work with talented colleagues to create new solutions and have impact for colleagues, clients and communitiesOur scale enables us to provide a range of career opportunities, as well as benefits and rewards to enhance your well-beingMarsh McLennan is committed to creating a diverse, inclusive and flexible work environment.
