Contract Trainers and / or AssessorsNSW - VIC - QLD - SA - WA - TAS - NT - ACTBuilding and ConstructionThe Housing Industry Association is Australia's peak residential building industry body, providing member services, industry advocacy and training for a range of building trade qualifications.
HIA are currently seeking Trainers and / or Assessors in all states to deliver :
- Legal and contract management expertise
- Site management and supervision skillsets
- Building and construction competencies
- Safety and quality management initiatives
- Planning and financial strategies
- Codes and structures know-how
- Key responsibilities include
- Delivering regular evening virtual tutorials
- Marking and submitting assessment results according to HIA policies and procedures
- Providing objective student feedback
- Delivering support sessions (as required) to assist with student learning pathways
- Participating in regular VET and Industry professional development, as required, to maintain currency as an approved Trainer / Assessor
- Ensuring the quality and consistency of all training and assessment complies with HIA's Registered Training Organisation requirements and the Standards for RTO's 2015, regulated by ASQA
- The successful applicant will require
- Relevant qualifications for CPC40120 Certificate IV in Building and Construction, and / or CPC40320 Certificate IV in Project Support and / or CPC50220 Diploma in Building and Construction
- Relevant qualifications in Training and Education (Current TAE40110 / TAE40116 Certificate IV Training and Assessment or higher)
- Well-developed administrative, communication and technical skills
- Experience within the building and construction (or related) industry
- The following would be advantageous, but not mandatory
- An understanding of the VET sector and training packages, particularly the CPC Construction, Plumbing and Services Training Package 05 / 09 / 19.
