- About the Role
As Strategic Procurement Coordinator, you will lead the procurement team and be responsible for the development and implementation of procurement policies and guidelines to ensure legislative compliance across Council. You will also provide expert procurement advice and support, represent Council in regional networks to drive collaborative initiatives, and promote best practices across all procurement activities.
Skills, experience and certificatesTertiary qualification preferably in procurement or business, with relevant procurement experience. Or have lesser qualifications and extensive experience in a senior procurement and contracts role.Leadership skills and the ability to mentor and build the capacity of staff.Demonstrated ability to influence and negotiate with senior management to achieve business objectives while leading and motivating high-performing people.Knowledge and experience of public tendering process and evaluation, contract management and administration.Excellent time management skills and ability to work under pressure.Mandatory Pre-employment screeningsCurrent Driver's LicencePolice checkHow to applyFor more information about this position please view the position description.
