Medical Receptionist

The Role

We are seeking an experienced and professional Medical Receptionist to join our dedicated team at our Caloundra Cancer Centre on a casual basis.

We are looking for availability for a few days a week approximately 32 hours per fortnight with support for covering sick leave or annual leave.

As a Medical Receptionist you will play a key role in assisting in the smooth day-to-day operations of our clinic you will be responsible for :

• Warmly greeting and assisting patients
• Scheduling appointments and pro-actively coordinating the appointment book
• Accurate data entry of patient information
• Processing payments
• Managing phone and email queries
• Assisting in tidying up consult rooms
• General administration duties as required

Qualifications & Attributes

• Previous experience in an administrative / reception role within the Healthcare industry or similar is essential
• Previous experience with medical practice software such as Best Practice will be highly regarded
• Customer-focused with a commitment to patient care
• A strong team player who contributes to a positive work culture
• Approachable reliable and dependable
• Excellent communication skills professional presentation and positivecan-do attitude
• Sensitive in your approach when dealing with patients
• Authorised to work in Australia
