The Cargo and Trade Systems is responsible for providing ICT solutions for the Australian Border Force and the Department of Home Affairs. We provide reliable and resilient ICT solutions to facilitate the movement of legitimate goods and people across Australia's international borders. We build, enhance and support a range of systems in the trade and cargo domain, servicing both internal and external users. Our systems enable people and cargo movements and intelligence gathering around environmental threats like foreign interference. We operate by the Department`s core strategies and blue prints and directly contribute towards the Unity, Prosperity and Security of Australia.
Our key focus is developing robust technology solutions that include integration of disparate systems to reduce duplication, automation of tasks and migration to modern technologies. We provide specialist technical services and deliver bespoke and customised off the shelf products across the Cargo, Trade and Intelligence domain for border clearance.

To be eligible for the position you must be an Australian Citizen.
