The Role :
Come and join the Paediatric team at Northern Health and gain fantastic exposure to paediatric medicine in Melbourne's rapidly growing northern growth corridor. Northern Health provides healthcare to a population of over 580,000 people and in the Paediatric Department we care for general paediatric medical and neonatal patients.
The service includes :
Northern Health is committed to medical education & training through the Teaching, Training & Research Precinct - a joint venture with The University of Melbourne, La Trobe University and the Victorian and Commonwealth Governments.
There are a mix of general Paediatric consultant and dual trained consultant neonatologists.
Northern Health is an RACP accredited site for Advanced Paediatric Trainees under the General Paediatric and Community SAC.
This position is for an Advanced Trainee in General Paediatrics (preferably second- or third-year advanced trainee). This Chief Paediatric Registrar or Paediatric Fellow will have a mixture of leadership and administrative responsibilities in addition to clinical duties in inpatient and outpatient areas. The role would be an excellent stepping stone to independent practice. Consultant paediatrician support is available at all times. Northern Hospital is accredited with the RACP for advanced training in general paediatrics. This is a full-time position for 12 months. There is some flexibility to negotiate the roster.
