About The Role
To strategically lead and manage the QLD logistics team to deliver efficient goods collection, storage and distribution services to all Queensland Salvos Stores locations. To maintain a safe work environment for all team members. To take ownership and accountability of all recruitment and stakeholder engagement tasks with a view to ensuring the right policies, procedures and processes are maintained as the organization grows and matures,
Role & Responsibilities :
Work with the General Manager Operations the WHS and injury management teams to establish long term Work, Health and Safety and workers compensation strategies and ensure all WHS obligations are met.Strategically plan and operationally manage the daily execution of all logistics, warehouse / s, transportation and customer services.Strategically managing people resources including recruitment, onboarding, training and development and performance management with a view of maximising efficiency and future proofing the business through succession planning.Ensure both internal and external stakeholder engagement is maximized, and solid relationships maintained.Proactively participate in the recruitment of team members, from advertising to onboarding, in conjunction with HR department.Plan and optimize Distribution Centres workflows and layouts aligned with both current needs and future growth.Ensure that all warehoused goods are ordered appropriately to balance network needs against available supply and that they are monitored through monthly stocktakes with all variances investigated and accounted for.Ensure the efficient execution of Store Services including stock delivery, stock transfer, rubbish removal and other requests by the combination of fleet, personnel, and schedule management.Be actively involved in the creating and management of yearly financial year budget for areas of responsibility in conjunction with General Manager Operations.Proactively review all budgeted expenditure to ensure that it remains within the budgeted parameters.Proactively manage and support change aligned to planned strategic activity.What We Offer
