Deccan Flavour is a popular Indian restaurant in Redfern, NSW, known for its rich culinary heritage and authentic South Indian and Hyderabadi cuisine. We are passionate about delivering flavorful, high-quality meals and are looking for a talented full time Chef to lead and innovate in our kitchen.
Key Responsibilities :
- Plan and develop menu items with a focus on traditional and modern Indian cuisine.
- Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff and food preparation activities.
- Ensure the consistent quality and presentation of all dishes.
- Oversee food inventory, ordering, and cost control.
- Maintain kitchen hygiene and food safety standards in accordance with regulations.
- Train and mentor kitchen staff to ensure performance and consistency.
- Introduce new dishes and seasonal specials to enhance customer experience.
- Manage kitchen operations efficiently during service times.
- Monitor portion sizes and waste control to maintain profitability.
Requirements :
Relevant QualificationMinimum 1 year of experience as a Chef, preferably in an Indian restaurant.Proficiency in Indian cooking techniques and deep understanding of spices and ingredients.Strong leadership and time management skills.Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.How to Apply : If you are interested, please apply. Salary : $70,000 – $80,000 per annum (plus superannuation)
