About The Role

Our Project Leader Major Projects is a key contributor in supporting the planning, coordination and delivery of major infrastructure projects. You’ll help implement project management processes, help keep projects on track and assist in a wide variety of assessments and reports to name just a few things this role will be across.

You may have noticed a few roles we have advertised in our Project space and that’s because there is an exciting and newly formed Project Management Office that you will be joining. So, if you’re ready to make a lasting impact on the future of the City of Canning, we’d love to hear from you.

What You’ll Be Doing

• In conjunction with the Service Lead and Senior Project Leader you will be a key team member in supporting the coordination and delivery of major infrastructure projects across the City, including the Canning City Centre Urban Regeneration Program. Some other exciting projects you will be involved in include the Civic Precinct development and the evolving Rail to River Precinct Project, the Canning Vale Sports Complex, and the redevelopment of indoor courts at Riverton, plus other place-making projects.
• You will be a trusted source of professional advice for stakeholders in coordinating information related to infrastructure projects.
• There won’t be much you aren’t across, whether this is managing a procurement process, overseeing project contracts, developing communications plans and / or assisting with a number of council and committee focussed reports, you will have oversight over many areas.
