Join team CSIRO! We are looking for someone who is ready to take the next step in their career and join us as our new Procurement Administration Officer. Your day-to-day activities will be spent supporting various procurement activities, liaising with stakeholders, providing data analysis, and assisting senior procurement officers with tasks as they arise, meaning no one day will be the same. Ideally you will have a sound understanding of how to undertake procurement in accordance with the Commonwealth Procurement Rules and Procurement Connected Policies and enjoy working in a fast paced, diverse procurement environment. With this in mind, it is expected you will attend the Black Mountain, ACT site 2 - 3 days a week.

- Your duties will include
- Work collaboratively with the CSIRO business units to assist them in the management and administration of procurement activities ensuring compliance with principles of procurement.
- Registering contracts on the Australian Government Tender System (AusTender) and ensuring compliance with internal procedures and Commonwealth Procurement Rules.
- Provide support to the Procurement team and provide advice broadly across CSIRO business units, and instruct others on routine administrative activities, as required.
- Use technical skills to analyse data and provide solutions in relation to procurement activities.
- Communicate openly, effectively and respectfully with all staff, clients and suppliers in the interests of good business practice, collaboration and enhancement of CSIRO's reputation.
- Work towards and participate in identifying and implementing improvement opportunities across the Procurement function.
- Assist in the development of various reports, both internal and external, including Records management.
- Facilitate and advise clients in relation to procurement activities to ensure compliance with internal procedures and Commonwealth Procurement Rules.
- Ensure risks and issues are escalated to the appropriate delegate in a timely manner
- Communicate openly, effectively and respectfully with all team members, clients and suppliers in the interests of good business practice, collaboration and enhancement of CSIRO's reputation.
- Work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary, regionally dispersed team and business unit.
