Clinical Documentation Specialist

In the role of Clinical Documentation Specialist,

• you will actively collaborate with doctors, nurses, and Allied Health staff to guarantee the thoroughness and accuracy of clinical documentation
• reflecting the complexity of each patient.
• This dynamic role involves undertaking clinical documentation reviews, hospital-wide education and assists with quality improvement projects.
• The CDS reports to the Director of Clinical Services and works in alignment with the health information team as well as liaising with other leaders within the hospital.

• You will also have the following
• Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
• Extensive experience in an acute care hospital setting
• Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain good clinician relationships.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite of programs
• Knowledge of the DRG classification system and private healthcare funding models desirable
