Job descriptionYour new role Providing leadership, mentoring, & professional development to the System Network Planning team. Develop, implement, & own frameworks for the identification, analysis & planning of Energy systems across the HP network. Provide planning & engineering for hosting capacity determination & release for a two year look ahead period. Responsible for the effective management of the System Network Planning team budget. Coordinate & solicit input from regions & commercial services on capacity management and planning & incorporate it into framework, policies & criteria & manage development & maintenance of planning criteria. Responsible for the provision of services & strategic thinking to support the development & ongoing management of power system control philosophies, including removal of hydrocarbons, transition to renewable generation, & adoption of high levels of DER. What you'll need to succeed A degree in electrical engineering or other relevant engineering qualification. Extensive experience in delivering network planning solutions. Demonstrated experience in an Engineering leadership role. Extensive knowledge of energy systems including, Power Generation, Transmission, Distribution & Renewable Energy Systems. Demonstrated understanding of the WA energy market. Demonstrated ability in managing a diverse group of internal & external stakeholders.
