Key Duties & Scope : Heavy Diesel Fitter at Rolleston Mine (Workshop-Based)

Maintenance & Repairs

• Perform scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance on a fleet of Caterpillar haul trucks (e.g., 793, 789) and other heavy mobile equipment (dozers, graders, loaders, water carts).
• Carry out diagnostics and fault-finding on engines, transmissions, hydraulic and braking systems.
• Repair or replace components including engines, drivetrains, suspension systems, pumps, and undercarriage.

Breakdown Support & Component Overhaul

• Respond to breakdowns within the workshop and carry out efficient, safe repairs to minimise downtime.
• Conduct component changeouts and rebuilds (engines, transmissions, final drives, etc.) in a clean, well-equipped environment.
• Ensure all repair work is performed to OEM specifications and Wisely’s quality standards.

Safety & Compliance

• Maintain a high standard of housekeeping and adhere to site-specific safety protocols and procedures.
• Complete and maintain accurate service records, inspection reports, and maintenance logs .
• Actively participate in toolbox talks , risk assessments , and safety audits .

Location :

• Rolleston Mine is located in QLD  125km from Emerald , 50km from Springsure , and 16km from Rolleston township .
• Camp accommodation is provided on-site with all meals included.
• Shuttle bus available – less than 10 minutes from camp to workshop.

About You :

• Trade qualified – Engineering Mechanical / Diesel Fitter Certificate (Mandatory)
• Minimum 3+ years of experience working on heavy earthmoving equipment (workshop, field or mine site)
• OEM experience highly regarded (especially Caterpillar)
• Strong safety focus and a team player mindset
• Physically fit – ability to pass a pre-employment medical
• Current Coal Board Medical and Standard 11 (or willing to obtain)
• Glencore Generic Induction (or willing to obtain)
