Inhouse Consulting Engineers is a leading consultancy with over 35 years of excellence in civil and structural engineering and land development projects.
As a Geotechnical Engineer , you will work on and specialise in subdivisions, land development, stormwater and drainage, road designs, and other projects. You will work alongside an experienced team of engineers and drafters at our newly refurbished office at Parramatta .
Your key responsibilities will include : Assist the Managing Director to build our capability and grow our market presence in the geotechnical engineering field
Work independently and as part of a team on land development, land subdivision, drainage pits and culvert design projects
Develop effective geotechnical design solutions across various scenarios and sectors
Geotechnical Investigations including planning and completing site works and preparing clear and concise geotechnical reports, specifications, and site investigation briefs
Assisting with the preparation of fee proposals, methodologies, and tender documentation
Conduct site visits field work and construction phase services
Be highly proficient in writing technical reports and documentation including geotechnical reports and contamination reports
Liaise effectively with clients, local councils, developers, and other stakeholders
Interpret and apply current Australian Standards to all projects
An appropriate tertiary qualification in Geotechnical Engineering / Engineering Geology.
Chartered and registered on the Engineers Australia National Engineering Register (NER)
5 + years' relevant Australian experience involving technical expertise in geotechnical design, including foundations, slopes, retaining structures and mine subsidence.
Knowledge of Australian construction practices and materials, historically and current
OH&S Induction Training for Construction Work (White Card)
Excellent spoken English and excellent English report writing and written communication skills
Current NSW Drivers Licence
Australian Permanent Residency or Citizenship
