Excavator Operator

About the roleBased at our InfraBuild Recycling Hemmant site, the Excavator Operator will perform a range of operating duties within the scrap metal yard. This is a day shift role with standard hours from 6am to 2pm, Monday to Friday with an additional requirement of 12 hour shifts and weekend work paid at overtime rates during busy times. This is a full-time permanent position with on-the-job training provided and excellent opportunities for career progression.

Pay rate for this role is $33.12 per hour plus overtime paid at penalty rates.

Your responsibilities will include :

Loading and unloading trucks and shipping containersEmptying trucks - dragging out the back of a tipperLoading metal objects of various size onto conveyor to be processed through the shredderAdhering to workplace safety procedures at all timesMaintaining cleanliness in the yard and operational areas

Ideally you will have :
