The Data and Insights (D&I) team is leading the charge to solve consumer problems and to create greater value for the consumers we serve.
The D&I team is responsible for leading the development and implementing Tennis Australia's data driven culture. They work in partnership with the business to focus on current and emerging data needs of the organisation, and deliver business value through planning, information, analytics, and insights. We are now looking for a Data Analyst to join the team.
About the role
Reporting into the Director of Data & Insights, in this role you'll leverage your analytical talents to derived insights from complex datasets that provide data driven actions and solutions for Tennis. In this role you will utilise your management capabilities as you will be responsible for managing a number of stakeholders and vendors.
In this role you will :
- Work collaboratively to provide survey management, research, and economic impact assessment of the Australian Open
- Develop a Customer Insights Library including presentation tools, data models and reports
- Data modelling and analysis to provide sophisticated insights and recommendations
- Implement modern data science and machine learning techniques within a CRM context
- Plan and design business dashboards and reporting tools used for generating actionable insights
- Support the team with analytics to drive CRM marketing strategy used to maximize customer profitability, lifetime value, loyalty, and return on investment.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate and communicate data insights into practical business recommendations to a broad audienceHands-on knowledge and experience with tools and techniques for analysis, data manipulation and presentation (e.g. SQL, Web Analytics tools, Python, Data Visualisation (essential))Skills and understanding in NLP and basics of AI / ML (desirable)Demonstrated skills in utilising cloud platforms and Databases. Ability to use and adapt to cloud technologies and systems to manage and manipulate data analytics across various channels (essential)Proven ability to work with datasets to clean, summarise, interpret to generate valuable insights, and visualise them for technical and non-technical audiencesCreate and maintain insightful tools and dashboards to add value to operational and customer-focussed business initiatives.You must hold (or be willing to obtain) a current Police Check and Working with Children CheckWhat's in it for you?
