About the Role
The HOD-Curriculum, Braille Advisory will work collaboratively with the SVIS team to lead the ongoing development of a statewide shared understanding of braille literacy and progression of stages of braille literacy learning.
The HOD-Curriculum, Braille Advisory will manage the development of teaching and learning informational resources for the service and will provide professional learning and support to staff across Queensland to build workforce capability that maximizes the educational outcomes for students who are blind or have vision impairment.
A key aspect of the role is the provision of feedback to the Head of Statewide Vision Impairment Services regarding the effectiveness of curriculum and pedagogy relating to Braille.
