About the roleOn a daily basis you will :
Manage & guide the workload of a team that consists of Senior Planners, Graduate Planners and Students,Work cooperatively with the team and other teams and departments of Council to review, improve and integrate processes and procedures,Attend relevant Panel Meetings (DEAP, LPP and SCCPP and Design Jury)Assist with Land and Environment Court mattersLiaise with building professionals, the public and other interested parties on development assessment matters &Assist in the mentoring and professional development of staff within the teamThe role is part of the Management Team for the unit, with acting opportunities available from time to timeAbout YouTertiary qualifications (degree or associate diploma) in town planning, building surveying or related disciplineExtensive relevant experience in development assessmentHigh level of communication (oral and written); negotiation and conflict resolution skills (includes problem solving); innovation and people management skillsHigh level customer service and case management skillsWhat's on offerWe are offering an attractive total remuneration from $116,493 to $128,238 (salary + super).
