Experienced Candidates Need Only Apply
Your key responsibilities will include :
- Mow Lawns, cut edges with hand and ride-on mowers (front deck & Ztrack) and whipper snipper.
- Preparing and planting garden beds and landscape maintenance
- Planting trees, bushes, hedges, flowers and bulbs
- Remove litter from garden beds and driveways.
- Prune / Trim shrubs and plants and remove dead branches and leaves.
- Check function of irrigation system and report faults or insufficient / excessive watering.
- Fertilising, mulching and maintaining the health of all plants with identification and prevention of diseases
- Preparing lawn areas by spreading topsoil, planting grass, and laying turf
- Drafting plans and designs, selecting materials and plants, and coordinating the landscape construction process (including softscape and hardscape structures)
- Use of spraying equipment like backpack sprayer, knapsack sprayer, and motorised spraying equipment, to control weeds, pests, and insects.
- Operate high powered hand tools
- General maintenance tasks such as raking and shovelling
- Tasks to be carried out in a manner that causes the least inconvenience to customers, staff, and the general public.
- Operate equipment and machinery in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations and the SNT operating procedures
- Performs routine maintenance on, gardening tools and equipment.
- Report maintenance and repair issues to the area supervisor
- Assists in the provision of on-the-job training.
- Understand and comply with quality, safety, health, and environmental policies.
- Follow written instructions, verbal direction, and procedures to perform work.
- Challenge any instructions that you believe places anyone or the environment at risk.
- Take personal responsibility to protect the health and safety of people or the environment.
