About the role
We have multiple projects in regional Qld and northern NSW - and more coming soon.
You will report to the Project Manager of whichever project you join and, at a corporate level, to the HSEQ Manager.
You will be responsible for the ongoing implementation, auditing, and continued improvement of our HS&E systems and processes, the monitoring of compliance, and for providing expert knowledge and advice while working in close collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders.
Duties will include but are not limited to :
- Providing expert knowledge and advice and working in close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders on-site;
- Ensuring site-based inspections and task observations are completed;
- Checking project personnel have the necessary competencies and complete the necessary documentation for the plant and equipment utilized on-site;
- Responsibility for training and induction records on-site being up-to-date;
- Supporting on-site incident investigations;
- Providing injury management / rehabilitation (suitable duties) services;
- Delivering workplace safety training such as inductions, awareness, and site work health and safety training;
- Completing monthly project statistics and reports;
- Participating in project toolbox and pre-start meetings;
- Providing coaching for HS&E performance improvement;
- Ensuring compliance with relevant State and Commonwealth WHS and Environmental Legislation, Australian Standards, and Codes of Practice;
- Identifying HS&E risks and ensuring action plans are developed, implemented, and reviewed;
- Developing safe work and environmental practices to mitigate risk;
- Providing site HS&E subcontractor management.
About you
Ideally, you will have at least 3+ years’ experience leading, investigating, developing, and implementing within Australian civil construction roads and structures projects, as well as the following qualifications & skills :
