Cerebral Palsy AllianceAustralia
Job description

Are you a Speech Pathologist looking for an incredible opportunity to make a difference in the lives of individuals with disabilities? CPA’s Alstonville site is actively growing its team and we are inviting YOU to join the World-Leading Team of Allied Health Professionals at CPA!

As the industry leader in disability services, CPA has dedicated a staggering $50 million to research in cerebral palsy. Cerebral Palsy Alliance is a mission-based organization that commands a strong community impact. As a valued member of the Therapy Services team, you will have the opportunity to explore various areas of specialty which include Research, Early Diagnostic Clinic, Innovations, Clinical Governance, and Management opportunities. We are proud to be the world leaders in this space and our passion for innovation drives us to provide the latest therapies and early learning programs to our clients.

If you are looking to work for an organization with a global footprint, extensive opportunities for career development, and genuine investment in professional and personal growth, Cerebral Palsy Alliance could be the perfect organization for you.

About The Team

The Alstonville team is extremely experienced and has consistently been delivering positive client outcomes in the Far North Coast region for many years. There is a strong team culture that has developed over many years and a real sense of teamwork and collaboration when on site.

Due to the rural nature of the location, therapists will have the opportunity to work within a multidisciplinary team with a huge breadth of diagnoses, ages, and disability types – particularly access to early intervention clients providing the opportunity for rapid career development.

At Alstonville, an average caseload is about 40% on-site and 60% community-based, and we also provide outreach support across the Far North Coast. The clinic is very well resourced, with a fleet of cars, ceiling hoists, eye-gaze technology, a huge selection of toys, an assortment of specialized assessments, full switch kit, and 3 specialist treatment rooms including a gym space.

We can provide tailored flexible working arrangements which suit you and your family situation.

What Can You Expect?

The chance to work independently and collaboratively, allowing you to make informed decisions that shape the care provided.

Extensive professional development, clinical support, and mentorship to enhance your career growth.

Joining a close-knit and experienced multidisciplinary team, working alongside Occupational Therapists, Speech Pathologists, and Physiotherapists who are experts in their respective fields.

A mixed caseload with a strong focus on paediatrics that will establish a solid foundation of experience.

Not just being heard but being valued—your clinical experience and opinion will be truly appreciated, and action will be taken.

The opportunity to mentor and supervise new graduates and students, if you wish.

The possibility of collaborating with research institutes and influencing evidence-based practices.

Why Choose CPA?

Enjoy flexibility in working hours, compressed hours, and the option for both part-time and full-time positions.

Exceptional professional development opportunities, equating up to $20,000 a year—your growth is our priority.

Find your career path with multiple opportunities for growth, including Research, Clinical Governance, Specialisation, and Management opportunities.

Benefit from detailed clinical supervision and work closely with our Clinical Governance team—we're invested in your success.

If you're moving for this role, we offer a relocation allowance of $5000.

Save up to $2,650 per year on taxes through our meal, entertainment, and venue hire benefit.

Give your family the gift of fitness with our discounted gym / fitness center memberships.

Enjoy a work-life balance with 12 weeks of paid parental leave and 2 weeks of paid partner leave.

Additional leave days, including bonus leave, pre-purchased leave, compassionate leave, and CPA day, an extra public holiday (between Boxing Day and New Year's Day).

Outstanding career growth opportunities and world-class training through our in-house Training Alliance and registered training organization.

What We're Looking For :

Relevant qualifications in Speech Pathology.

Evidence of current SPA registration or a willingness to attain it.

Don't miss out on this exciting opportunity to be part of our world-leading team at CPA! Apply now and embark on a rewarding career journey with us!

At CPA, the safety of our staff and clients is of paramount importance. We have assessed this role type as requiring a medium level of physical functionality with some inherent requirements. For more information on what that may mean for this role please click here.

Please let us know if you have any pre-existing injuries or illnesses which you are currently seeking, or have sought, medical treatment for which you think may impact your ability to fulfil the inherent requirements of this role. CPA is committed to supporting an inclusive work environment and engaging workers with diverse lived experience. We will happily consider and accommodate reasonable adjustments that may be required to support candidates throughout the recruitment process, and to be successful and safe employees of CPA.

Cerebral Palsy Alliance is committed to the safety and wellbeing of our clients and staff. Cerebral Palsy Alliance is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Cerebral Palsy Alliance upholds, advocates for, and protects the rights, wellbeing, and safety of people with a disability. We are a child safe organization and all workers are responsible to adhere to the NDIS Worker Code of Conduct.

CPA is a smoke-free workplace including in, on and around CPA sites and vehicles.
