The Portfolio Change Manager sits under the Enterprise Change Practice which reports to the Enterprise Portfolio Office in the Reform Division. The Reform Division is responsible for working with external stakeholders (Federal, State Government, Industry Groups, Retailers, Energy Wholesales) and Internal Teams to implement the changes necessary to facilitate a secure, reliable, and lower-emissions electricity market. This permanent senior role will form a key part of the Enterprise Change Practice Leadership team and will be a key enabler for driving and uplifting AEMO’s Change Maturity and ability to support its mission to drive energy market reforms and net zero target. You will be an expert in Change Management methodologies, practices, and outcomes, with the ability to work with highly technical and scientifically minded stakeholders, as well as leading, coaching and guiding a team of Change professionals to deliver team outcomes. Finally, you will be passionate about the Change Management profession (practical and creative) and come with new ideas on how to solve common challenges, whilst being committed to adopt our philosophy of aligning our people’s competency and capability to global standards CMBok). Reporting to the Enterprise Change Practice Manager, you will work with a Program Director and be responsible for leading and delivering (with your team of Change resources) all required artefacts, materials, activities and outcomes to support the successful progressive rollout of a suite of projects within this key initiative Portfolio. What you will bring to the role Extensive experience across the full spectrum of Change Management and Transformation projects / programs, artefacts, tools and techniques including large scale complex technology and operating model initiatives. Expertise across the full suit of core Change activities including (but not limited to) in Change Impact Assessment completion, Change Strategy / plans, Communications / Engagement, Training / Learning Strategies / Plans and activities / outcomes, Business Readiness Checks, and Business / Operational Handover and embedding. Demonstrated experience in leading a team of Change resources of differing levels (Analyst, Manager) to deliver shared outcomes and develop our people’s potential. Demonstrated experience and understanding of Project Management approaches, tools, methodologies, and phases of the project lifecycle (Waterfall, Agile, Lean). Mastery of engaging with a diverse range of stakeholders at differing levels within an organisation. Certification and working experience in the application of relevant Change Management methodologies Kubler-Ross, Bridges Transition Model. PROSCI©, Human Centred Design). Ideally you will have Change Management Institute Accreditation at a Master level and relevant tertiary qualification in a Business, Commerce or related discipline.
