We are seeking a dynamic and experienced senior electrician with marine experience to support our dynamic Gladstone operations.

Job Description

You are a dedicated, technically skilled professional who thrives in dynamic environments and is capable of managing complex electrical systems. Reporting to the General Manager in Gladstone, this full-time position is responsible for the running maintenance and repairs of the electrical, electronic and control systems. Working closely with the shore-based Maintenance team, Technical Superintendent and crew to ensure the planned maintenance system is maintained in a safe, efficient and cost-effective way.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
• STCW Electro-Technical Officer certification or equivalent marine electrical qualifications
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience as a marine electrician, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role
• Advanced knowledge of marine electrical systems, including power generation, distribution, and control systems
• Proven expertise in electrical troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of shipboard systems
• Strong understanding of maritime regulations and safety standards
• Excellent leadership and team management skills
• Outstanding problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
• Proficiency in using electrical diagnostic tools and software
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities
