The McLaren Vale Grape Wine & Tourism Association (MVGWTA) is the peak representative body for the grape growers, wine producers and tourism providers of one of Australia's most valuable wine tourism regions, with a combined representation of more than 800 businesses.
The Association provides the major industries of the McLaren Vale wine region – grapes, wine and tourism – with a vision for the future in both domestic and international markets. The Association plays a crucial role in securing the region's economic, social and environmental sustainability.
In a dual role supporting promotion of the McLaren Vale Wine Region as a leading tourism destination, while ensuring the effective operations of the MVGWTA office and Memberships, the Tourism & Administration Officer is responsible for coordinating key tourism initiatives, supporting regional events, engaging members and stakeholders, and ensuring high standards of office administration and internal communications. The successful applicant will be a highly organised, proactive,self-motivated team player.

Responsibilities will include (but are not limited to) :
Tourism
- Coordinate MVGWTA’s tourism development and education programs in collaboration with the MVGWTA Wine Tourism Committee, to facilitate adoption of best practice throughout the region.
- Assist in planning and delivery of MVGWTA’s two major in-region annual events, including Member participation, stakeholder coordination and grant reporting.
- Develop MVGWTA’s relationships with key tourism industry stakeholders, represent MVGWTA at relevant industry events and meetings, and develop partnerships to drive regional promotion and tourism capability.
- Develop and manage relationships with tourism media, and coordinate media familiarisation visits to promote McLaren Vale’s wine and tourism offerings.
- Manage and moderate the MVGWTA Wine Tourism Facebook Group to support member engagement and communication.

This full-time role will be offered initially as a 12-month contract, with option of extension.
This role is located in McLaren Vale; some intrastate travel may be required. A valid driver's license is required to fulfil this role.
