Job Description

Reporting to the Lead Advisor - Health and Safety, you will form part of a dynamic team based in Mackay. You will be responsible for providing professional advice and support to multiple business units across multiple sites. Your responsibilities will include, however not limited to :

• Providing professional advice and support, and engaging, influencing and coaching the workforce to promote continual development and improvement in safety culture.
• Ensuring risk / hazard registers are maintained for all facilities
• Facilitating a consistent approach to risk management ensuring workers are trained and using risk management tools, including Take 5’s and JHA’s.
• Facilitating the reporting and recording of all incidents, hazards and near misses.
• Ensuring incident investigations are completed as required, identifying root causes and corrective actions to prevent re-occurrence.
• Conducting regular visits to sites throughout QLD
• Interacting with the management team and workforce to determine suitability of processes, risk management, safety behaviours, field inspections and system audits.
• Establishing process to complete or facilitate internal audits of sites
• Assisting in the implementation, review and maintenance of the Integrated Management System
