Job descriptionMechanical trade qualification (e.g., Certificate III) Must have Disconnect / Reconnect certificate. Proven experience as a maintenance fitter, ideally within an industrial or manufacturing environment. In-depth knowledge of industrial mechanical systems. Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced setting. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team. A commitment to safety and compliance with industry regulations. Willingness to work shifts and respond to emergency breakdowns when necessary. Competitive Rates based on experience and qualifications. Immediate start.

On behalf of our client, a leading linen service provider in South Brisbane, we are seeking a skilled and reliable Casual Maintenance Fitter to join their team. This role is vital to ensuring the efficiency and safety of their mechanical systems within a fast-paced, high-demand industrial facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs to keep operations running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities :
- Conduct regular maintenance, repairs, and installations of mechanical systems and equipment, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues in industrial machinery, control systems, and plant equipment.
- Test, inspect, and ensure all mechanical systems comply with relevant industry standards.
- Minimize downtime by responding promptly to mechanical breakdowns and performing efficient repairs.
- Carry out preventive maintenance tasks and recommend system improvements for enhanced performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with production and operations teams to optimize system uptime and productivity.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all maintenance and repair activities.
- Ensure adherence to workplace health and safety procedures at all times.
