About the role
We are seeking a friendly and organised Head Chef to join our team on a full time basis.
The role includes the following responsibilities :
- Managing café operations
- Cooking and preparing food, ranging from snacks to meals
- Baking pastries, cakes, bread, pies, etc.
- Menu planning, including regularly adding new meal options and creating ‘specials of the week’
- Estimating costs of meals and making pricing decisions
- Estimating demand and making quantity decisions
- Inventory management and purchasing stock
- Training and supervising staff
- Overseeing processes and procedures
- Ensuring food is of a high quality
- Maintaining safety and hygiene standards
- Ensuring excellent presentation and cleanliness in every area
- Designing efficient kitchen workflow
- Purchasing and maintaining kitchen equipment
- Dealing with complaints and customer feedback
- Catering for events attracting from 15 to 300 people
Start date is negotiable.
