Clayton UtzAustraliaWe currently have an opportunity for a professional and driven Kitchen Hand to join our in-house Catering Team on a full time, permanent basis.
Clayton Utz is a leading Australian law firm. Our in-house Catering Team is responsible for providing exceptional food and beverage services to our clients, partners and employees.
Key Responsibilities This is a hands-on role which will see you responsible for the cleanliness and hygiene of designated kitchen areas and related equipment. Your main duties will include, but are not limited to :
The orderly and efficient storage of all supplies and equipment as required. Follow receipt of goods procedure and rotate stock accordingly.
Provide assistance with basic food preparation as directed by the Chef(s).
Clean and maintain all designated kitchen areas, appliances, utensils, and tools including canopy and range hoods, fridges and cool room, grill and deep fry bays.
Removal of all garbage / recyclables from kitchen area to designated waste area.
Ensure cleanliness of kitchen and operation of industrial floor cleaning machinery
Monitor stock levels and liaise with Executive Chef and suppliers
Assist in the setup and breakdown of mobile kitchen equipment and trestle tables for events
Skills & Experience To be successful in this role, you will have :
Minimum 2 years' experience in performing a similar role
Appreciation of the legislation governing food service hygiene
Sound knowledge of the appropriate use of cleaning chemicals
Good general knowledge of the operation and cleaning of equipment
Ability to work autonomously and efficiently under pressure
Reliable, highly organised and a 'can do' attitude
