The team
The Enforcement Services group provides expert advice and guidance to ASIC's enforcement and compliance teams, using a range of technologies and digital processes to facilitate faster and better regulatory outcomes. Enforcement Services are future focused and build and maintain systems, tools and capabilities to deliver on strategic goals and ensure regulatory teams have the resources needed to meet the challenges ahead.
The role
As a Data Analyst, you will :
- Spot opportunities to innovate, using data, tools and technology to strengthen enforcement outcomes.
- Build smart automation, writing bespoke code and scripts that streamline processes and boost efficiency across Enforcement Services.
- Use technology to analyse data at scale, uncovering insights from complex information and supporting experts with high‑quality analysis.
- Lift the team's data capability, improving how we work and helping enforcement staff get more value from technology.
- Collaborate across ASIC, partnering with teams to deliver faster, smarter and more effective regulatory outcomes.
About you
We're looking for a data‑driven problem solver with qualifications in IT, analytics or a related field, and hands‑on experience applying analytics, Python and data‑wrangling techniques to real business challenges. You'll turn complex information into clear, compelling insights through strong visualisation and communication skills, and bring the right attitude — curiosity, initiative and a genuine willingness to learn and grow. Experience in financial services, regulation or law enforcement will help you make an immediate impact in this fast‑paced, high‑purpose environment.
