At Thales, we know technology has the ability to make our world more secure, sustainable, and inclusive – and that it’s all driven by human intelligence.
Because it takes human intelligence to build and power the systems and solutions that people depend on every day. So we stay curious and make space for diverse points of view. We share what we know and we challenge what’s possible.
From manufacturing and engineering to cybersecurity and space, we’re driving progress in some of the world’s most important industries – and working together to build a future we can all trust.
Our Australian Munitions teams in Benalla and Mulwala produce propellants, explosives and munitions for defence and commercial uses. With ongoing investment into research and development, we produce some of the world’s most high-performing guided weapons and explosive ordnance systems. And being at the forefront of a rapidly evolving industry gives our teams constant opportunities to build on their technical expertise.
Are you passionate about Lean practices and continuous improvement? Do you thrive in a hands-on role where you can make a tangible impact? We are seeking a Lean, Performance, and Continuous Improvement Engineer to join our dynamic team and drive operational excellence across our organisation.
As a Lean, Performance, and Continuous Improvement Engineer, you will provide hands-on expertise in Lean practices and offer methodological support to our teams and stakeholders in an industrial setting.
Working at our sites in Benalla and Mulwala - Pangerang and Yorta Yorta land, your role purpose is to :
- Focus on identifying and implementing process improvements, using Lean methodologies to optimise business processes, increase efficiency, and reduce costs while improving quality.
- Continuously analyse and identify areas for improvement in various processes, including manufacturing, operations, and customer service.
- Work closely with Production departments and teams to identify and implement improvements, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Collect and analyse production data, identify bottlenecks, and determine root causes of problems.
- Implement Lean practices in alignment with the Thales Australia Lean team recommendations.
