About Our School
Southern Cross Catholic College is a Prep to Year 12 school offering families a co-educational pathway to life-long learning. The College was founded in 1995 following the amalgamation of the Catholic primary and secondary schools in the Moreton Bay Region. The multi-campus College operates as the principal Catholic College on the Redcliffe peninsula. Southern Cross Catholic College has three campuses located in Scarborough, Kippa Ring and Woody Point accommodating students in Prep to Year 6 and a fourth campus in Scarborough accommodating middle and senior years students from Year 7 to 12. Responsibilities
Creating a nurturing and ordered learning environment that is learner-centred, supportive, cooperative, and aligned with relevant curriculum policies, documents and practicesCollaboratively developing and implementing quality curriculum programs and appropriate pedagogy; evaluating their effectiveness; assessing and reporting student progress and learning outcomes; and reporting these to students, parents and the communityWorking collaboratively with the leadership team, teachers and other staff members in contributing to the professional life of the school and fostering a positive school cultureProactively engaging with professional learning to enhance student learning outcomesEstablishing positive relationships in the pastoral care of students and supporting their spiritual and moral developmentEnsure that the teachings and values of the Catholic Church form a foundation for learning and teaching.Qualifications
