About the Role

The Head of Financial Accounting role is based at Forensicare’s Administration Office, at the Thomas Embling Hospital, Fairfield.

The role is responsible for leading the quality service delivery for Financial Accounting. With a focus on process improvement within the applicable teams, the role is responsible for the continued development of staff skills to ensure they contribute to Forensicare’s strategic goals and the vision and behaviours of the Finance and Business Services team.

This position operates with autonomy in carrying out the key day to day accounting functions and responsibilities of the role and provides support to the CFO. The role is responsible for accurate and timely reporting of the General Ledger and Fixed Asset Register, ensuring the completion of timely and accurate internal and external reporting (including tax reporting), as well as the completion / review of reconciliations.
