ENGIE AU is seeking a strategic and experienced Head of Financial Control to lead the centralised financial accounting function across ENGIE’s Australian businesses. This pivotal role supports our consolidated operations and drives self‑service capabilities through the development and enhancement of finance systems. You’ll also play a key leadership role in the transition to SAP S / 4HANA as part of ENGIE’s global deployment strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the month‑end close process, ensuring timely and accurate ledger handover to management reporting.
• Oversee the preparation and lodgement of statutory accounts and financial reporting for ENGIE.
• Manage statutory audits for both ENGIE Group and local compliance requirements.
• Ensure completion of balance sheet reconciliations and analytical reviews across all entities in scope.
• Collaborate with FP&A to support monthly management reporting and deliverables.
• Provide technical accounting guidance, including drafting and reviewing position papers.
• Lead transaction processing (Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, settlements) to optimise working capital and cash flow.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls.
• Drive the development, governance, and enhancement of finance systems to support automation and self‑service capabilities.
• Act as a subject matter expert for financial accounting during the SAP S / 4HANA transition.
• Lead and develop a high‑performing team aligned with ENGIE’s values.
• Oversee recruitment, coaching, performance management, and career development.
• Foster a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement.
