Role

An opportunity exists for a Medical Laboratory Technician with Blood Bank and Haematology experience at Northern Health. The successful applicant must have knowledge and experience in a broad range of techniques and instrumentation used within a diagnostic pathology laboratory. Attention to detail is required when receipting, handling and processing specimens, especially identifying and prioritising urgent specimens. The appointee must demonstrate organisational skills when managing inventory to ensure continuity of service and minimal wastage.

Responsibilities

• Perform analytical and routine blood bank procedures and haematology tests.
• Receive, process, and handle clinical specimens with accuracy and precision.
• Manage inventory of reagents and supplies and maintain quality management system compliance.
