Project Coordinator – Payments Operations Program
Join the Reserve Bank's payments team that owns and operates RITS, Australia's real‑time gross settlement system, and other critical national payments infrastructure. These payments systems move around $280 billion dollars between financial institutions each day and ultimately settle all non‑cash payments in Australia. They are essential for supporting the day‑to‑day business of the Australian economy.
You will be part of the Knowledge Management and Training workstream for the Payments Operations Program. The program is a large, business‑led initiative working to uplift the operating model and resourcing for the RITS ecosystem, strengthen shared services processes and IT controls that support RITS and related systems, and improve knowledge management processes, systems and related training programmes for staff supporting RITS.
As a Project Coordinator , you will assist the Knowledge Management and Training workstream lead and Program management to drive the design and delivery of the workstream. This will involve working closely with the broader workstream team, an external professional services firm and relevant staff in Payments Settlements, IT and Knowledge departments. You will also work with Program management and the change management team to support the Payments Operations Program's communications with key internal and external stakeholders.
You will have previous experience working in a similar role as a project co‑ordinator for medium‑large projects. You will also have demonstrable skills for prioritising work, working in a deadline‑oriented environment, organising and coordinating a range of internal stakeholders, managing and coordinating project delivery schedules, and strong attention to detail and communication skills. Ideally you would also have experience in business analyst work.
Reporting to the Project Director – Business, and working closely with the Knowledge Management and Training workstream lead, you will enjoy working and collaborating with multiple high performing teams committed to team goals and deliverables.
