RivMed has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Out of Home Care Practitioner / Manager to step up to the next level to manage and grow our Out of Home Care Team and program. The successful applicant will work within a growing, supportive and passionate team at Riverina Medical & Dental Aboriginal Corporation (RivMed) to ensure delivery of the highest quality Out of Home Care while ensuring the best culturally appropriate outcomes for Aboriginal people. It envisaged that the team will triple in size over the next 3 - 5 years taking on the care of approximately 90 children. This is your opportunity to grow the team and shape it to achieve great outcomes for our children and carers. It is envisaged that during the early growth stages of the program, that the Manager will need to take an active hands on approach.The RoleReporting directly to the CEO, the Manager OOHC / Principal Officer will play a pivotal role in supporting our ambitious goals. The role spans strategic development, financial management, operational oversight, quality assurance, and stakeholder engagement in relation to RivMed’s Permanency Support Program – Out of Home Care program. The Manager as Principal Officer will be responsible for the supervision arrangements for delivering statutory Out of Home Care (OOHC) whilst meeting all the legal requirements under the Children and Young Persons (Care and Protection) Act 1998 and the Children and Young Persons (Care and Protection) Regulation 2012.Who we areRiverina Medical and Dental Aboriginal Corporation (RivMed) is a long-established Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation in the heart of Wiradjuri Country.RivMed work to effect change in the most marginalised and vulnerable people in our community. We work to achieve this through the provision of culturally appropriate medical and well-being services for Aboriginal people and their families.About you, to be successful in the role you will be able to demonstrate you meet theSelection Criteriabelow : Aboriginality - This is an identified Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander position and candidates will be required to provide confirmation of Aboriginality.
